The Soul 70's
Submitted for the 2023 Gucci Changemakers Awards on behalf of Savannah College of Arts & Design for the Atlanta campus.
This collection discovers Redefined Workwear drawing inspiration from 70’s black fashion & The Soul Train Awards. The fashion during this time period was cultural, it expressed ethnic identity, and it was a form of art through film & music. This collection challenges old silhouettes with more modern ones as well as replacing neutral colors with more vibrant ones.
